It’s not easy to stand out in the ever-growing vodka category, but Puffing Billy Steam Vodka by The Borders Distillery have managed to do just that with this creamy, character-packed unfiltered malted barley vodka distilled in a completely unique way. Locally-grown barley is first pot-distilled than re-distilled via ‘Puffing Billy,’ a specially-commissioned Carterhead still. Instead of relying on liquid filtration like other vodkas, the spirit is steamed through charcoal inside the still itself and never filtered as a liquid, in order to preserve the rich taste of the barley.
